Guilin is experiencing a surge in inbound tourism thanks to its well-developed infrastructure, high-quality services, and diverse tourism offerings, allowing foreign visitors to explore new landscapes.
Guilin Liangjiang International Airport operates as a port of entry under the 72-hour transit visa exemption policy, serving as a prime destination for an increasing influx of foreign tourists, especially during this current summer vacation season.
In the first half of this year, Guilin welcomed 375,000 inbound tourists, marking a 547 percent year-on-year increase, with total revenue from overnight inbound tourists reaching approximately $146 million, a 568 percent increase from the previous year.
Guilin airport has opened multiple international flight routes and cooperated with the "Bring Europe Back to Guilin" initiative to attract more European tourists.
Guilin has implemented entry policies that facilitate the arrival of foreign tourists, particularly at the airport, where a designated area is set up to demonstrate overseas guest payment methods. This initiative aims to provide seamless payment options for international visitors. Furthermore, a tourist leisure area has been specifically designed to offer convenient payment facilities tailored to the needs of foreign travelers.
Guilin continues to enhance its services for inbound tourists, ensuring that foreign visitors experience high-quality travel convenience, rich ethnic charm, profound cultural heritage, and the breathtaking beauty of its landscapes.
