Recently, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region issued “The Action Plan for the Development of Guangxi’s Water Culture, Sports and Tourism Equipment and the Construction of New Consumption Scenarios (2024-2026)” (hereinafter referred to as “The Plan”), proposing to cultivate and build star-rated experience bases for water culture, sports and tourism by 2026.

It is reported that “The Plan” pointed out that centering on six cities such as Nanning, Liuzhou and Guilin, Guangxi will build 12 star-rated experience bases such as Nanning Qingshan Water Sports Base, Liuzhou Jinglan Water Sports Center, and Yangshuo Section of the Lijiang River in Guilin. What’s more, “The Plan” pointed out that Guangxi will create a number of sports tourism boutique routes themed with “travel with the event”, set up the Nanning Division for international water sports events, promote the integration of water sports and tourism events with shopping, scenic spots, performing arts and other tourism functions, launch tourism routes with water sports, and create phenomenal cultural and sports tourism projects.
