Pingxiang, located on the China-Vietnam border, is attracting a growing number of tourists with its unique charm thanks to the popular cross-border "one-day tour". As of Oct 7, Pingxiang had welcomed 49,409 visitors for the tour so far this year, a record high.

Pingxiang offers a diverse tourism experience, giving visitors the opportunity to explore the history of Youyiguan Scenic Area of the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone. The Vietnam border is also located nearby, great for anyone looking to experience the country's unique culture.

Demand for the tour remains even after the conclusion of the National Day holiday. During the holiday from Oct 1 to 7, 235 groups, totaling 5,485 tourists, participated in the cross-border "one-day tour". That's a 97.48 percent increase in the number of groups and a 236.09 percent increase in the number of tourists year-on-year. To accommodate the surge, Pingxiang added service windows and extended working hours.
