Recently, the “List of Guangxi’s Terrestrial Wild Animal Species from Artificial Breeding” was officially released and put into effect.

It is reported that the list includes 10 species of key protected wild animals in Guangxi with mature and stable artificial breeding technology and a certain breeding scale, as well as terrestrial wild animals with significant ecological, scientific and social value as the first batch. These species include reptiles, amphibians and annelids, etc. During the stage of collection and selection for the list, Guangxi organized expert groups to categorize and review artificial breeding places and species across the autonomous region, in order to learn about the current breeding scale, history, and distribution areas of the species. After thorough analysis and evaluation, the first batch of terrestrial wild animal species from artificial breeding in Guangxi was selected, including Zaocys dhumnades, Naja atra, Naja kaouthia, etc. It is of positive significance to release the list, resulting in meeting society's reasonable demands and reducing wild animal conservation pressure.
