Recently, the China (Guangxi)-Vietnam (Quang Ninh) Cataract Treatment Assistance Project was officially launched. The project aims to bring light and hope to cataract patients in the China-Vietnam border areas, strengthening the bond among the peoples of both countries.

It is reported that in February of this year, the Health Commission of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region signed an execution plan for healthcare cooperation with the health departments of four border provinces in Vietnam. The plan is focused on providing treatment for patients of cataract and ophthalmic diseases in Guangxi and four border provinces of Vietnam. Leveraging China's mobile ophthalmic surgery vehicle, "Vision Restoration No. 18", and high-quality medical resources in Guangxi, the project facilitated the exchange and sharing of techniques and experience between Guangxi and Quang Ninh Province of Vietnam and other border regions, furthering the cataract treatment initiative. This effort was a key exploration and practice in deepening cross-border medical cooperation between China and Vietnam, enhancing the health and well-being for the people of border areas of China and Vietnam.
