Recently, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and other departments jointly released the list of typical cases for the high-quality development of "Good Rural Roads". The case from Shanglin County, Nanning, titled "Promoting Rural Road Integration to Build a Happy Longevity Township", was included.

It is reported that Shanglin County designed its rural road network based on local tourism development goals and the distribution of industries, combining tourism elements with unique industries to stimulate the development of health preservation in forest, health preservation via cultural tourism, and agricultural products along the rural roads. This approach has successfully created a new pathway to support the high-quality development of the "Good Rural Roads" initiative, contributing to rural revitalization. The county has built 581 roads totaling 780 kilometers to promote the industries and more than 150 kilometers of roads connecting scenic spots. All local scenic spots are now connected by classified highways, forming three major "transportation + tourism" zones.
