4 ports in Guangxi provide 240-hour transit visa-free service

The National Immigration Administration issued an announcement on December 17 to fully relax and optimize the transit visa-free policy from the day. Nanning Wuxu International Airport Port, Guilin Liangjiang International Airport Port, Beihai Fucheng International Airport Port, and Beihai Seaport Port (passenger transport) are 240-hour transit visa-free ports. At the same time, the area of stay in Guangxi for transit visa-exempt personnel has been expanded from the original Guilin and Beihai to 12 administrative areas of Nanning, Liuzhou, Guilin, Wuzhou, Beihai, Fangchenggang, Qinzhou, Guigang, Yulin, Hezhou, Hechi and Laibin.

According to reports, the newly implemented transit visa-free policy, compared with the previous implementation of the 72-hour and 144-hour transit visa-free policies, has three major changes: The number of ports applicable to the original 72-hour and 144-hour transit visa-free policies has been increased from 39 to 60; extend the period of visa-free transit from 72 hours and 144 hours to 240 hours (10 days); expand the implementation area by expanding the current 19 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) to 24 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities), and allowing transit visa-free foreigners to travel across provinces within the scope of application of the policy.
